Professional development
We have worked with educational establishments to develop strategies to improve teaching and learning.
Other examples of our work in this area include:
- In-house professional development events on topics such as e-learning and lesson study
- One day programmes on a range of generic topics such as working with gifted and talented students and improving group work
- Management development activities
Coaching
Jorj has worked as a tutor on the nation programme training Subject Learning Coaches (SLCs) and works with groups of SLCs to support their activities. He is currently working on enabling organisations to make best use of their SLCs.
Materials
We have worked on projects that involve the production of materials for teaching or for the professional development of teachers. Examples include defining the structure and writing the content of a multi-media guide to the web portal of the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics
Mathematics and Critical Thinking
We have particular and considerable expertise in Mathematics Education at all levels, including Higher Education.
We can also offer support in the development and enhancing of courses that seek to develop learners' critical thinking skills.
In these subjects and generically we have experience of developing and running programmes for gifted and talented young people.
